Preliminary Investigation Reveals
In a significant breakthrough, the Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested terrorist Adil Manzoor Langoo, responsible for the cold-blooded murder of two labourers from Punjab. Langoo, who perpetuated the heinous act in the Habba Kadal area of Srinagar, was apprehended by the authorities. The two labourers, Amritpal Singh and Rohit Masih, both engaged in woodwork, were targeted at their residence in the Shalla Kadal area of Shahed Gunj. Tragically, while Amritpal Singh succumbed to his injuries on the spot, Rohit Masih was rushed to a nearby hospital but did not survive. The young men hailed from the Amritsar district of Punjab, and had ventured to Jammu and Kashmir in search of a better livelihood to support their underprivileged families.
Terrorist’s Radicalization
Investigations have revealed that Langoo was radicalized by handlers based in Pakistan through social media channels. This trend is a stark reminder of the menace of terrorism that continues to plague the region.

Since 2019, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed a resurgence in violence against non-locals, following the abrogation of Article 370 by the Union government. The attack in Shahed Gunj marked the first incident of terrorism against non-locals in the region this year.
