Shillong, Sept 9: The excitement is building up as Shillong prepares for a musical extravaganza at this year’s Cherry Blossom Festival. The global sensation Akon is set to headline the “Year of Legends” lineup, bringing his chart-toppers “Smack That” and “I’m So Paid” to the vibrant stage of Shillong.

The 2024 edition of the festival, themed as the “Year of Legends,” is shaping up to be an unforgettable event. Alongside Akon, legendary acts like Boney M will grace the stage, promising to keep the audience dancing through the night.

The festival, organized by Rockski EMG in collaboration with Akon’s company, Konvict Touring, is part of Akon’s “Superfan Tour,” which includes performances across Asia during November and December, covering as many as 8 countries.
